Clay Smith is currently serving as the Youth & Christian Education Pastor of Elmwood Avenue Church of God.  He also serves on the District Youth Advisory Board. 

Pastor Smith has served in youth ministry in South Carolina since 1996 and has been involved in Children's Church Ministry from 1990 through 1996. He also has worked in South Carolina Youth Camps since 1995.
 
Pastor Smith is a member of the National Youth Leaders' Association and was also a board member for the South Carolina Youth Leaders' Foundation from 1999 to 2003.
 
As youth pastor of Elmwood, Pastor Smith has headed up many activities such as free youth camp for kids, youth trips, and fundraisers to help the children participate in the events.

In civic involvement, Pastor Smith was involved in SCANA's Good Neighbor and United Way Programs.  He is also a Notary Public in South Carolina.
