Reverend Clay Smith

Clay Smith is currently serving as the Assistant to Senior Pastor of Elmwood Avenue Church of God.  He is a credentialed minister with the Church of God.

Primary responsibility include adult ministries to include Senior Adult activities.  This portfolio also includes oversight of all CE and pastoral logistics. 

Prior to serving in this position Pastor Smith has qualified himself since 1990 with work in the ministry of Youth and Christian Education of all ages.  He has also served on the District Youth Advisory Board, in Children's Church Ministry from 1990 through 1996, and in South Carolina Youth Camps since 1995.  Pastor Smith is a member of the National Youth Leaders' Association and was also a board member for the South Carolina Youth Leaders' Foundation from 1999 to 2003.

In civic involvement, Pastor Smith was involved in SCANA's Good Neighbor and United Way Programs.  He is also a Notary Public in South Carolina.
